Rolling fairways and tight greens,
meandering streams and stands of mature trees make the 18-hole
AACC course both picturesque and challenging to play. The par-72
course design features 6,420 yards of changing elevation and
direction, giving it great variety.
Tee times are readily available and 18 holes can easily be completed
within four hours. The professional staff also coordinates a
lively season including scrambles, tournaments, men’s and
women’s leagues and private outings. A fully stocked Pro
Shop carries the latest in golf equipment and clothing.
Ann Arbor Country Club is proud to have a professional staff,
led since 1982 by our resident Golf Professional, Frank McAuliffe,
III. Frank is a Class A PGA Member with 31 years of diversified
experience in golf. His professional playing highlights are
many but include: North Central Regional Club Pro Championship
(1st place) 2001; Shanty Creek Classic (1st place) 2001, 2000
and 1999; Northern Regional Club Pro Championship (4th place)
1999; Taylor Made Champions Cup (1st place) 1999; five top 10
finishes in the Michigan Open including 4th place in 1999 and
2nd in 1988; two top five finishes in the State PGA championship
in the past two years; as well as qualifying for the National
Club Professional Championship a total of seven times. He has
been consistently ranked as one of the top 10 PGA golf professionals
in the state of Michigan. His professional training includes:
Junior Golf Seminars, PGA Teaching Seminars, United States Golf
Association Rules Workshop, PGA of America - Head Professional
Training and PGA National Merchandise Seminar. He has served
as the Dexter High School golf coach for the past eight years.
In 1997 he was also named Regional Golf Coach of the Year. Under
his guidance, the Junior Golf program at AACC has grown from
15 to 150 players and he has significantly increased participation
in Club events through the promotion of team and family activities.
